Amanda is an Associate Licensed Therapist who has resided in the Enterprise are for over 20-years.  She was born in El Paso, Texas but grew up in the Opp/Andalusia area after her father got out of the military.

Amanda graduated from Troy University in 2012 with her BS in Psychology and received her Masters in Counseling and Psychology with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University in 2015. She is a member of the Alabama Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling of Alabama (ALGBTICAL), Alabama Association for Specialists in Group Work (ALASGW) and Society of Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE).

Amanda has extensively worked with adolescents and adults in the in-patient, non-profit and private practice settings. She is highly experienced  in working with the LGBTQ+ community and offers transgender specific services. She also has experience working with various issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, anger management, relationships and trauma (abuse). 

​

Amanda believes that the best therapists are the ones who understands where their client is coming from and chooses to met them on their level in order to help them.  She believes that by working through your challenges, you can bring about change in your life. 

​

In her free time she enjoys urban exploring, playing with her (6) fur babies, writing, volunteering and spending time with her friends.
